The Brownie Forest

It was getting late by the time Patrin, Charles and Brook left the town of Carousel. After flying for a few hours Patrin landed the Flying Fish Car in the Brownie Forest. They were met by Prince Dulal and Princess Sarla in front of the beautiful Brownie Palace. Patrin had met the shy teenagers before when they came to visit the Royal City with their parents. As a parting gift the next morning Patrin gave them each a set of new toys to make. Charles and Brook Otter gave their new friends some sea shells from Mermare Bay. They were more than pleased to receive in return a Skip Counter and a set of Brownie Multi-Pies. Both Sarla and Dulal are very fond of math games.

The Multi-Pies

Have fun learning your times tables! What you do is fold it (like you were going to cut a paper snowflake) so that you have just a triangle showing. Then you cover up the lower right hand number with your thumb. What’s 1 x 2? Move your thumb and there’s your answer. They are really just triangle shaped flash cards but more portable.
