Hello and Happy January!

Our sixty-year-old heater died the first week of January. It wasn't the end of the world, just what my mom calls "one of those little bumps in the road". Here in Southern California it never freezes, though in the two weeks before we could get it replaced it was down in the thirties at night. (That's 3.3 for you Celsius people) Chilly! We made the best of it with sweaters, hot soup and lots of cats on the bed. Now we have a new one and are warm as toast.

I realize this would be shorts and flip flop weather for everyone digging their cars out on the East Coast. So I'm sending warm thoughts your way... and some coloring pages of cats.
