Last
month I asked everyone on my mailing list to buy a copy
of The
Toymaker's Workshop, in the hopes that enough books
would be sold for the publisher to change their minds and
print bunches more.
You'll
never guess what happened. Before I sent out the newsletter
the sales rank for The Toymaker's Workshop was somewhere
around 55,000. A couple of hours after sending the email
the number hadn't changed at all. I was despondent.
When
I peeked back after dinner the book was up to number 101!
I was flapping like a penguin. Then it went up to number
77. When I got up the next morning my book had climbed up
to 48. It peaked at number 37 on the Barnes and Noble website,
was number three in all of children's books, number 1 in
both paperback books for kids and in craft books.
My
book sold out in Amazon US, Amazon UK and Amazon Canada.
