I once had a sparrow alight upon my shoulder for a moment,

while I was hoeing in a village garden,

and I felt that I was more distinguished by that circumstance

that I should have been by any epaulet I could have worn.

~ Henry David Thoreau

Hello and hello!

I have a little sticker on my desk that says "focus". It is supposed to remind me to concentrate on the things that are important, but it always gets covered up by posti-notes of things to do. More often then not, I feel like that guy on the Ed Sullivan show spinning plates on sticks, with frantic music playing in the background.

But Spring is coming and my priorities are taking care of my family and making books and paper toys.

How about you? As my dad always said, “Where do you want to land?” What are your goals and dreams for the future? Do a little something everyday that keeps you headed toward that goal. Keep everything in focus.

Best thoughts,
