May Gratitude and an Update

Oh my friends!

What a whirlwind! So far on my cancer journey I've completed four chemo treatments, 41 doctor visits and there are only 28 days until the last chemotherapy. It seems to be working really well and the lump has gone from an avocado to an olive. My very serious oncologist actually gave me a high five. I also have an absolute admiration for nurses. They are real life superheros.

The side effects are more annoying than anything and I am very much looking forward to having my hair grow back as well as having food taste good again.

The good thing about all of this is how absolutely wonderful everyone has been. People have cooked meals, driven me to the doctor, sent cards and beautiful books, art supplies and soft caps, flowers and hats, advice and words of encouragement.
