Make a flock of paper pelicans to fly around the room.
Oh, a wondrous bird is the pelican!
His beak holds more than his belican.
He takes in his beak
Food enough for a week.
But I’ll be darned if I know how the helican.

My husband teaches second grade and he told me that they are not using scissors in the class because they don't have any way of santitize them due to Covid-19. I think that cutting things out of paper is a very fun thing to do and a useful skill to have. So I designed this simple to make paper bird that a child can make with a little grownup help. They can also practice their knot tying when attaching the string.
